Rousing Review Regiving The Gifts of Kindness Laughter
Rousing Review Regiving The Gifts of Kindness Laughter Oh, how I love me Miss Amanda over on Kind Over Matter. She took her amazeballs series, Seven Souls One Musing and had it spark a Big Idea: Getting 30 rock stars (her words, but Ill take em!) to answer the questions, What small act of kindness were you once shown that you will never forget? What was one of the funniest experiences of your life, one where you laughed from your core? She collected answers to both questions from Andrea Schroeder, Dyana Valentine, Goddess Leonie, Jamie Ridler, Jonathan Mead, Kate Swoboda, Susannah Conway, Tanya Geislerneed I go on? Oh, and me! And if that wasnt enough, she collected artwork for 5 beauties (including Jess Swift and Aimee Myers Dolich) and included them in Regiving: The Gift of Kindness Laughter. Honestly, while I was so excited to be asked to participate and share my stories (and yes, one of them is about d***s specifically, ones in a box), I was also a lil iffy on the finished product. Sure, stories are nice and all, and I knew that whatever Amanda put her name to would be amazeballs, butwhat would be so special about this book? Now that Ive read it cover to cover, I can sum it by saying: Inspiration. Belly laughs. Ear-to-ear smiles. Warm fuzzies. If it was a coffee table book, Id leave it there all the time and pick it up when I need a pick-me-up. But since its an e-book, I keep it in my Dropbox and have it with me on my phone. Its my own portable lil inspiration kit, ready for me wherever I am, waiting with a kindness, laughter, support, community, and love. Im positive itll give that to you, too.
